Here's the meat of any RP - the application!

When filling out the application, try to be as detailed as possible. We want to know how you write, how well you know the character you're applying for, and also how creative you are in your interpretation. It's all right to draw from canon and "create" extra hobbies and backstories for the characters, as long as they fit in with what we DO know about them.

As a general guideline, if your entire application can fit within a single or two LJ comments, chances are you have not been detailed enough (unless you are applying as a very minor character).

Our timeline is 2019 (just after T&T/AAI), so be sure that this is reflected in the age and current status/occupation of your character.

Should be a no brainer, but please do not cut and paste information from Court Records' character bios into your application.

ABOUT YOU

[Name:] (The one you would want your fellow RPers to call you by)

[LJ Handle:]

[Contact Info:] (Email, AIM, etc)

[Which of the games have you played?]

[How much RP-ing have you done?]

[Age] You don't have to specify, but at the moment GSRP is being limited to players aged 16 and above (subject to change)

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:]

[Age:]

[Gender:]

[Marital Status:]

[Sexuality:]

[Occupation:]

[Ladder Preference:]

CONNECTIONS
In this section we want you to take as much time as possible to flesh out the relationships your character has with others in the game. It's important for us to know how you intend to interact with other characters, so please be detailed. If you're writing about a character that's already been taken and don't know if the player agrees with your interpretation, don't worry - these things are always evolving over the course of the game.

[Family:]

[Friends:]

[Enemies:]

[Other:]

CHARACTER

[General personality:] What are your characters likes and dislikes? Talents and failings? What do they spend their time on? Do they have any personality traits, goals, special interests?

[Appearance:] You only have to worry about this if your character is somehow different from what they look like in canon (like Apollo won't have his red suit at 15, etc)

[Background:] What background have you come up with for your character outside of what the games state? Feel free to be creative (within the confines of canon of course) about where they came from and what motivates them. Don't worry about going into the details of the case(s) your character was involved in: "And then case such and such happened" is enough. But, if you'd like to add some special detail about your character's feelings towards the case that isn't specified in the game, go right ahead!

SAMPLE POST

Please write a sample LJ post as the character you are applying for. The length of the sample post isn't extremely important, but do keep it in mind that we will be judging it as a part of your application; strive for something that depicts the character accurately and interestingly. If you'd like, you may use this sample post as your character's first post if you are approved.

However, don't feel like you have to make your "first post" the very first post that character has ever posted. It's all right to assume that your character has kept their LJ up to date for some time.

ONCE YOU'RE APPROVED

If the mods tell you your application has been approved, you'll then be asked to create a character journal and join the main gyakusai_rp comm with it. If you want to join the comm with your personal account as well that's fine too. The first post in your journal should be your application, under a cut (so other players can see it). Then you can make your first IC post (which can be your sample post too).

Lastly, use the friending code in the comm profile to update your FList.

Now that you've read all that, apply! See the comm profile for the current list of open characters.

Re: Magaggey App [1/4]

CONNECTIONS
[Family:]
Maggey comes from a very patient family, if nothing else. She was raised to make lemonade out of lemons, even... if you run out of sugar and have to substitute it with Splenda- and... even if the lemons turn out to be completely sour and no good for really making anything at all. Maybe tea would be a better option...

[Friends:]
Phoenix Wright: Wright has gotten Maggey out of not only one, but two supposed counts of murder. If that's not a good, reliable friend, Maggey doesn't know what is.

Maya Fey: Maggey is easily impressed and excited, and she practically feeds off of Maya's positive energy.

Dick Gumshoe: Maggey's relationship with Gumshoe has gone through a few ups and downs. Sadly for him, she remained completely unaware of his infatuation with her during her time dating Dustin Prince, but looked up to the detective in a completely professional manner. When she found herself in the courtroom once again her opinion of the man took a sharp nosedive when he was forced to give a rather devastating testimony against her. When all was said and done with that debacle though, she forgave him for coming to the rescue at the last moment.

Her liking for him grew even more so with the latest murder attempted to be pinned on her- in the office of Miles Edgeworth. This time around the good detective stood firmly in her court- and it didn't go unnoticed (even with her sparkling admiration of Edgeworth's performance).

[Enemies:]
Richard Wellington: Not only did he kill her boyfriend of six months, but then he tried pinning it on her. Maggey has enough of her own bad luck, without someone else imposing more on her.

On a more serious note, Wellington's actions made a much bigger hurt on her than others would in the future, with the loss of someone close and personal to her life. In the two years that have passed though, Maggey has (obviously) moved on- though a certain degree of bitterness still lingers.

Furio Tigre: Another person who tried to use her as a scapegoat- and on top of that, an even bigger jerk because he (got away with) impersonating someone she considers to be on friendly terms with.

Jacques Portsman: At this point, Maggey really doesn't consider these people to be enemies, per say. Just the kind of awful people who take advantage of the "little guys". Thankfully Edgeworth was able to see right through Portsman before any real damage had been done to her- but it was still a nasty shock to be accused of murder again. Also, thanks to him she has been able to add one more notch to her lost jobs belt.

[Other:]
Armstrong: Not her favorite pastime employer, to be sure, and the fact that he lied and further helped to try and incriminate her doesn't help matters much either. Still, he was in a load of trouble on his own, so she tries to be more sympathetic. She doesn't bare any particular ill will towards the woman.

Edgeworth: So cool! Like Gumshoe, Maggey has a lot of admiration for the prosecutor, that of which was boosted immensely when he saved her a new trip to the courtroom by putting an end to Jacques Portsman's lies right away.

THIS APP HAS ACE ATTORNEY INVESTIGATIONS SPOILERS

THIS IS THE ONLY WARNING YOU GET

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Larry Butz, a.k.a. Laurice Deauxnim, a.k.a. Larry of the House of Butz, a.k.a. The Butz, a.k.a. YOU SON OF A BITCH LARRY

[Age:] 26

[Gender:] Male

[Marital Status:] Why is Larry not married? No one knows. It may be that no one will ever know. Mysteries like this flow in magical rivers throughout the universe.

[Sexuality:] Straight

[Occupation:] Varies almost monthly - currently a theater actor on tour, but who knows how long that will last.

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]

Nick: Nick's like family! Right Nick!? Nick is someone that Larry can always go to in times of trouble and who knows all the almost magical answers to fix any problem Larry has. Nick's compassion is endless, and his inventiveness knows no bounds! When something smells, Larry knows exactly who he can go to, no questions asked and no explanation needed. Ever.

Larry remembers the classroom trial thing, even if he has forgotten it, and he never lets Nick forget it because Nick always seems to remember it anyway. Wait. Where am I? Listen, point is Nick owes him big-time, forever.

Edgey: Edgey is just as much family as Nick is, even more so. Maybe. Depending on the day! By his own count, Larry has saved Edgey's behind no less than three hundred times, including the whole State vs. Edgeworth debacle and the State vs. Iris trial. Not to mention that stuff that happened like a week ago! Boy howdy!

Edgeworth seems like he has lot of angst issues to work through, but as least he sustains himself with an appreciation for the arts! Larry, being an artist in several respects, understands completely. Heck, he even thinks higher of Edgey just for the fact of his appreciation of the arts, and especially the fact that Edgey seems to appreciate his own endeavours. He saw the tears running down Edgey's face during his latest performance, though he can't remember if he mentioned it. Larry will never let Edgey down. How could he disappoint his biggest fan?

[Friends:]

Maya Fey: Maya's a tough gal. How else can she spend so much time around a guy with luck as bad as Nick's? Larry respects Maya, but he also sees her as off-limits (barely) because she's around Nick constantly. Is Nick a sugar daddy? He's suspected this for a long time, and Maya is most of the reason. Still, he's always glad every six months or so when he finds out she managed to narrowly escape some death he didn't know about.

Pearl Fey: An on-again, off-again loser, just like him! How great is that. Pearl is somebody Larry really identifies with, someone who understands the zeniths and nadirs of the human condition. And she appreciates yams, which is always cool. Larry hates yams, and eats them when he is miserable. Maybe Pearl hates them too? He's never thought about it. He never will.

Franziska von Karma: Franzy is, for lack of a better term, Larry's muse. When he seeks out artistic endeavours that have little or nothing to do with his own creative proclivities, it's because of Franzy. When he makes things that no human being would ever want to look at, it's because of Franzy. When he's whipped into unconsciousness with a smile on his face, there's about a 60% chance that Franzy is the one who's doing it. He doesn't even want to date her, he just wants to draw her, because she's such a dynamic and engaging figure. Nowadays he also wants to act with her, but he doesn't think she'd be too keen about trying on the Pink Princess outfit. Now he has had some other ideas about what he'd like to see her wear - for illustrative purposes! - but suggesting them got him beaten unconscious.

Larry App 2/4

Mia Fey: Mia was a lady with class. Class... and some big hooters. Seriously though, they were huge. Regardless, she's the whole reason he's a free man today, and he'll never forget her or the way she tirelessly defended him during his own trial while Nick watched, helpless as a newborn tadpole. She's another of the few women in his life that he didn't want to date and/or settle down with, if only because his respect for her outweighed his attraction to her.

Elise Deauxnim: Larry looked at Elise as a mentor, a figure of artistic merit and talent untainted by the mode or operations of sexual perception. She taught him to see himself as more than he was, and was the entire reason that he began to pursue a career in the arts with any degree of success. What part of himself can actually be considered a man, he owes to her.

Dessie: Oh, Dessie! Their love is never meant to be, but he will always carry her (and her skin-tight red leather body suit with the wayward zipper) in his heart (and sketchbook).

Cindy: Cindy's deeeeeeeeeeeeead! Larry vowed never to love again. But then he moved on.

Mindy: Oh, Mindy! If only she would realize the depth of Larry's feelings. He will continue trying until the star of his love goes supernova and consumes his whole life in a fiery and destructive explosion that leaves him a broken husk of a man.

As a point of trivia, the Pink Princess is so "endowed" in order to make room for Mindy! That is a true story. At least, Larry thinks it is, but he has never seen Mindy with the costume off. He wants to date her, but he also wants to draw her so hard.

Iris: He saved Iris's bacon in State vs. Iris! That has to be worth something, right? It's a shame that she's so sweet and nearly perfect in every way, because apparently she is Nick's woman. Ugh. As if Nick didn't have enough of those!

Amanda: Left him for some poet. Dammit! He will always carry her in his heart, and also he will always have that thing he made for her but never got to give (he cannot remember where he put it or what it looks like).

Britney: A voluptuous model who left him for another voluptuous model. He didn't know whether to be crushed or not, and still hasn't come to a firm decision.

Courtney: A voluptuous model who became an archaeologist. On the one hand, he knows he can't follow her to the Australian badlands, which makes him sad. On the other hand, she named a stupid-looking dinosaur after him, which is pretty cool!

Ashley: Ashley was last seen crossing the border into Mexico on foot, with several police cruisers in pursuit. She disappeared into the Gulf of Mexico and is rumored to be living on a beach somewhere, preying on wild animals and getting back in touch with nature. She taught Larry how to build a fire!

Carly: Carly ended up going to England with some guy, leaving Larry heart-broken and dead inside.

Frank: Frank was one of Larry's best friends during his brief stint as a bartender, and coincidentally left for England the same week that Carly did. Larry sees no connection between these two events.

Wendy: Wendy is NOT DATING MATERIAL. She's a coworker, man! How unprofessional would that be? Also: old enough to be Larry's grandmother. He respects her as an old lady, but he has only said this once and then never again. She never hit him, but listening to her yell at him for an hour and a half was enough to leave him a broken shell of a man.

Whitney: Whitney and Larry were like two ships passing in the night, only Larry ended up returning to California while Whitney made a 180, sailed past the southern tip of Africa, and then took the long way around to get to the Caribbean.

Heya there again, Aith!

No--like before, characters cannot be reserved. It`s first come, first serve. If you post an app for the same character around the same time someone else posts theirs, we may consider them both at once. For larger roles, we may put a decision on hold until we receive a few applications.

Ema App: 2/3

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Ema Skye

[Age:] 19

[Gender:] Female

[Marital Status:] Single

[Sexuality:] Heterosexual

[Occupation:] Forensics Student, UCLA—but can often be seen around the precinct trying to “help” the forensics department with cases.

[Ladder Preference:] Scientifically speaking, they're ladders. The step is unnecessary.

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]
Parents: deceased when Ema was young

Sister: Lana Skye. Ema's big sister also raised her, and she's the person Ema loves most in the world. Whatever Lana does couldn't possibly be wrong—the lying and stuff she's done in the past was done with the best of intentions. Ema worships the ground Lana walks on, and would do anything Lana asked her to without question. Her biggest fear is letting Lana down, after all Lana's done for her.

[Friends:]
Phoenix Wright: Ema loves Phoenix too, almost as much as she loves Lana. She's not likely to forget the favour he did for her and her sister, and she looks at him as kind of a big brother/guardian figure. She'd do anything to repay his favour, and she'll be shocked and furious to find out he's disbarred. Ema is also willing to babysit Trucy for free, search for proof of Phoenix's evidence, and otherwise try to comfort him in any way she can think of. Since Ema's not too good at comforting, this may have mixed results, but it's the thought that counts, right?

[Enemies:]
Klavier Gavin: When Ema was studying in Europe, Lana's coroner friend, her guardian, knew Ema had a soft spot for prosecutors and could use someone on whom she could practise her German, and so introduced her to a young acquaintance of hers—Klavier Gavin. When Ema met him, he hadn't started the band yet. He was just a talented kid a bit younger than herself who was handsome, charming, loved his older sibling, training to be a prosecutor, wore purple (which is almost pink), and seemed to really like her...and she was foreign and older and exciting to Klavier. It seemed natural that they'd hit it off, and get into a relationship. However, shortly before game start, Klavier got an opportunity in L.A., and broke it off with Ema without a second thought so he could move to L.A. and take it. She was heartbroken, and it only got worse when Lana's friend died and Ema had to go to back to L.A. to finish her studies. She'll swear up and down that her hatred for Klavier stems purely from the mockery he makes of the high office of prosecutor by also being a rockstar, and won't even admit to herself that that's not the whole reason. He's a glimmerous fop and she hates him, isn't that enough?

[Other:]
Miles Edgeworth: When it's said that Ema worships the ground Lana walks on, that's meant metaphorically, to imply she really, really loves her big sister. When it's said she worships the ground Edgeworth walks on, however, that's meant completely literally. She used forensic science to track his footprints and all but stalk him. She thinks Mr. Edgeworth is the ideal of a prosecutor, and fancies herself in love with him. He's perfect, after all, and Ema loves 0% error.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Miles Edgeworth

[Age:] 27

[Birthday:] November 22nd, 1992. This makes him a Scorpio and a Monkey.

[Gender:] Male

[Marital Status:] Single. "As bachelor as a bachelor can be."

[Sexuality:] To most, Edgeworth may come off as distinctly asexual... and to some extent, he is. He does not think often upon the subject of romance, nor does he focus his attention on dating, courtship &c. This also causes him to be somewhat oblivious of amorous feelings directed his way (unless one is as blunt as Oldbag—but that is another matter altogether).

[Occupation:] High Prosecutor in the city of Los Angeles.

[Age:] 17

[Gender:] Male

[Marital Status:] Single. No one's tying this rock star down yet! If asked, he'll tell you he's married to his music and his fans (excluding mother of course).

[Sexuality:] Straight, but secure enough about it to act ambiguously at times (Note: This is usually a ploy for attention. The sadistic side of him enjoys watching the person on the other end squirm uncomfortably.)

[Occupation:] Lead singer of The Gavinners, a platinum-record selling rock band. He's also in the process of applying for a prestigious position as a Los Angeles state prosecutor.

[Ladder Preference:] Human. Who needs ladders if you’ve got people willing to get the job done for you? :D

ACHTUNG BABY [2/5]

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]

Kristoph Gavin: For as long as he can remember, Klavier has idolized Kristoph both as a man of law and as an older sibling. He holds him in the highest regard and is one of the reasons why Klavier decided to pursue his career as a prosecutor. (Well that plus the sincere desire to put the morally corrupt behind bars, of course.) He has attempted to prove himself to Kristoph time and time again but is never satisfied with the simple smile and few words of praise that he receives in return. He feels this will be the ultimate opportunity. His dream is to have a face off in court with his brother someday.

Klavier is currently freeloading off his brother under the condition of moving out as soon as he lands a stable position as state prosecutor. This living arrangement may cause Kristoph some headache, but Klavier on the other hand enjoys spending time with his brother.

[Friends:]

Daryan:
His brother from another mother, Klavier cherishes his friendship with Daryan not only because they share similar aspirations in life and taste in music, but because they just seem to have some sort of special connection. Ever since their fateful meeting at a rock concert, when Herr Shark-man's giant hair blocked his view of the stage, he can't imagine life without his right-hand, (sometimes wing)man. Also, not many people besides Daryan put up with his occasional tantrums, and for that he is grateful.

[Enemies:] None, really. All's fair in love and war, ja? Forgive and forget. Just don't go do something morally wrong or against the law and you're good in Klavier's book.

[Other:]

Franziska von Karma: Both Franziska and her father have quite the reputation back in his hometown. Klavier has studied all of their cases in school to every detail. He does not agree with the ruthless tactics Manfred used in order to keep his perfect record, but from what he knows about Franziska, the youngest prosecutor in history, she is not like her father in that aspect. As a fellow young prodigy of law and alumni of the same law school in Germany, Klavier feels a rivalry towards her. He looks forward to seeing her wielding that whip in person again. He’s always found the heels kinda hot, too.

Miles Edgeworth: He seems a bit intense and uptight. Judging by his questionable taste in clothing, a little old-fashioned too, but perhaps that’s just a von Karma thing. Regardless, Edgeworth seems like a capable prosecutor and his reputation must amount to something. If (or more like when) Klavier is hired as a prosecutor, he will be Edgeworth's subordinate. He intends to be civil with the older prosecutor and vows to keep out of his business...but at the same time, he’s dying to find out what exactly makes the mysterious man tick.

Ema Skye: Fraulein Labcoat is cute and not like many other girls he knows. Klavier met Ema through a mutual acquaintance (because men and women of law are tight like that) and had fun spending time with her while she studied-abroad in Germany. He doesn't quite get her obsession over science, pink glasses and striped knee-high socks, but he won't deny he's attracted to her. He especially likes teasing her because she’s adorable when she’s flustered. Klavier feels a little bad for ditching her back in Germany but he’s not going to let anything get in the way of lifetime prospects just yet! He hopes she isn’t too mad about it, but he’s certain she's gotten over it by now.

Phoenix Wright: He knows the man by name as the defense attorney with an impressive record. ...And that’s about it for now. As for after Phoenix’s disbarment, Klavier thinks it was despicable of him to forge evidence for the sake of winning and does not think very highly of the man. He later learns that Phoenix is a friend of his brother’s, which is intriguing in itself because from what he’s known, Kristoph has no friends. He does not quite understand his brother’s intentions of befriending someone like Phoenix, but has faith that there must be a valid reason behind it.

Re: Phoenix App

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]

Maya Fey - Technically not family, but as close as it gets. Phoenix has been looking after Maya on Mia's behalf for years now, and after all that they've been through she's become closer than a sister to him. Though sometimes her immaturity can be bothersome, her energy motivates him better than almost anything else, and when he's not rolling his eyes at her he's admiring her for her strength.

Now that Maya is the Kurain Master it's not as easy to see her, but he still makes the effort. He's looking forward to seeing her develop into the mature leader (with a heart of burger!) he knows she can be, but at the same time is ready to support her when she needs it.

Soon, that relationship is about to be tested again...

Pearl Fey - Maya's young cousin, and much like a young cousin to Phoenix as well. He's very fond of her, and does his best to look after her when she's under his care. Sometimes he worries that she's leading too sheltered of a life in Kurain, and being as bright as she is she should be exposed to more opportunities, but it's not his place to interfere. Not like he's ever raised a nine year old girl, after all! Aha! Aha! Aha!

As for the constant "Maya's special someone" treatment, he doesn't want to hurt Pearl's feelings by telling her it's not going to happen, so he just keeps his mouth shut and hopes out of it eventually. Sooner rather than later--she hits hard for a kid!

Trucy - Little does Phoenix know, he's about to adopt a young girl. He's going to be confused, and determined, and frustrated, and he's going to fall in love with the adorable little squirt. He's going to learn things about himself he didn’t know and do his best to raise her right. But he doesn't know that yet.

Parents - Phoenix's parents were a little older than normal when they had him, and are now retired and living in a rest home upstate. He visits them very rarely. It's not that their relationship is strained, they just don't seem to have much in common, and all parties are fine with a long-distance relationship.

Charley - The houseplant he inherited from Mia. He still takes very good care of it.

[Friends:]

Miles Edgeworth - Though they spent a short time as rivals, Phoenix considers him to be one of his closest friends. From the moment Edgeworth stood up for him way back in elementary school Phoenix formed a bond of trust that has not wavered in all those years. But because Phoenix believes in Edgeworth so strongly, he takes it all the more personally when they disagree. Thankfully they haven't lately had any fights bad enough that Phoenix has had to declare Edgeworth "DEAD TO HIM," but if it happens in the future it won't be the first time.

But seriously, now that Edgeworth is not being a jerk, Phoenix looks up to him a great deal. He even takes a bit of personal pride in the fact that Edgeworth has "cleaned up" very nicely since his days as a demon prosecutor, in part thanks to him. They have very different methods of approaching a case or any problem, but Phoenix still values his friend's input and knows he can always count on his support. Case in point, the recent misadventures at Hazakura Temple. When Phoenix needed help the most Edgeworth was there to help, and some part of him believes that will always be the case.

When proven wrong, some (unwarranted) bitterness is sure to follow...but he'll get over it. The two of them have been friends for too long and been through too much together to let a little badge get between them, right?

Dick Gumshoe - Though they're not exactly friends per se, Phoenix sees so much of Gumshoe that they've developed a kind of working relationship, and even a trust. Gumshoe has helped Phoenix out a lot in the past, which he appreciates, and if the occasion arose for Phoenix to repay him he would without a second thought. ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Klavier Gavin

[Age:] 17, born 28 October 2001 (Scorpio, baby!)

[Gender:] Very, very male, fraulein

[Marital Status:] Single but not wanting

[Sexuality:] Primarily straight, though given his insouciant reaction to Apollo's staring in canon, he obviously wouldn't have a problem with men admiring him, either. Say a 1 on the Kinsey scale. ;)

[Occupation:] Prosecutor by day, god of rock by night!

[Ladder Preference:] Klavier learned English from a tutor who taught him that the word “stepladder” referred to this object, but Klavier has generally been willing to admit he is wrong when presented with evidence to the contrary.

[1/?] very minimal GK/AAI spoilers in this app

GENERAL

[Name:] Franziska von Karma

[Age:] 19

[Gender:] Female

[Marital Status:] Single and totally cool with it

[Sexuality:] Straight, though it doesn't really matter since relationships aren't a concern of hers

[Occupation:] Prosecutor who at times works with Interpol on special cases

[Ladder Preference:] A step ladder is a type of ladder so it's like arguing over whether a rose is a rose or a flower you fools

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]
Miles Edgeworth: Her "little brother" and number one rival -- the one adopted into the von Karma household when they were both very young. She has grown to respect Miles wholeheartedly (though she may not admit to it), but she's still not sentimental to familial relations. If Miles were ever accused of murder again and the evidence is all there, she wouldn't think twice about prosecuting him. She values the law above all else. (Not that she doesn't care about him. She just doesn't care to let feelings get in the way. And no, she doesn't believe Edgeworth is actually capable of murder.)

Despite being seven years her senior, she's always regarded him as a younger sibling. No matter how mature she'd act, however, the reality of him being far ahead of her in experience and age would always be a thorn in her pride. Ever since he became a prosecutor before her, she's been intensely competitive, and she's not shy about showing it. In a way, it's important for her to keep this competitive spirit which drives her; as long as Miles is around, she'll always have someone she must surpass.

Manfred von Karma: Her father with whom she's always had a peculiar relationship: professional and business-like. Not much of a warm daddy-daughter image with them, but she never minded it. She's content with her strict upbringing -- it's because she was raised by Manfred she was able to achieve so much by such a young age.

She was greatly disappointed in him when his crimes were revealed, but she was quick to move on. His criminal acts don't negate his 40 year long legacy. His methods are still effective and perfect. His story, to her, serves as a warning to those who pursue perfection, and she's confident she won't end up misguided like him. It may be hard to see, but she's careful to keep her pride in check. Though she won't adhere to them as strongly, she still takes her father's teachings to heart.

older sister: The unseen older sister who has a husband and child. Franziska hasn't spoken with her in a very long time -- not since their father was convicted of murder. Their lack of contact isn't out of hate or indifference; it's simply how things are.

GENERAL

[Name:] Rhoda Teneiro

[Age:] 24 (Born January 18, 1995)

[Gender:] Female

[Marital Status:] Single

[Sexuality:] Straight

[Occupation:] Chief Flight Attendant at iFly Airlines. Also designs psychedelic jets on the side.

[Ladder Preference:] Professionally speaking it is whatever pleases the customer. iFly Airlines has a strict policy stating that the customer is always right unless they are suspected of murder. Personally speaking, it's a ladder and nothing else.

You can't get rid of me~ [2/5]

CONNECTIONS

[Family:] Robert and Beatrice Teneiro: Rhoda cares deeply for her parents. She grew up the middle sister of three (Tabatha and Penelope, her older and young sisters respectively) and had a very tame, uneventful childhood.

Her father is a retired geography teacher who gave her a globe on her 12th birthday. He told her stories of the many countries he’s taught about but has never visited himself. He insisted she broaden her horizon by traveling the world and was a large influence as to why she became a flight attendant. Her father has always been her biggest supporter when it came to her designs. Unfortunately, it was not until years later that they found out he was in fact color-blind. However by then it was already too late. Rhoda had already been inspired by a perfect palette of shocking! colors.

Her mother is a nurse who could be a bit over-bearing at times. She voiced concern for Rhoda’s safety when she was told her daughter aspired to become a flight attendant. Her mother believes to this day that if Rhoda wants to assist people for a living, it should be in the medical field helping the sick recover instead of on an unsafe airplane serving drinks to ungrateful passengers.

Rhoda most likely inherited her stubbornness from her mother and eccentric style from her father. Her sisters are both married and have families of their own. They tell Rhoda she should start thinking about settling down soon as well.

[Friends:] Rhoda has been quite busy with work lately and does not have much of a social life. Many of her childhood friends, including Amy her best friend from high school, have gotten married and are busy with their own lives. One drawback of being a flight attendant is her unreliable schedule that puts strain on any relationship. She hasn’t had a day off on a holiday or her birthday for as long as she can recall. Her dedication to her job makes it even harder for her to go out and mingle with other people.

[Enemies:]
Cammy Melee: Rhoda is not the type to harbor grudges but Cammy would be the closest thing to an enemy that she’s got. Although they were never close friends, Rhoda was shocked to be framed by her co-worker and it hurt deeply. Not only did Cammy try to pin the crime on her, but she used one of her beloved suitcases to transport a dead body! Cammy knew exactly how much time and money Rhoda invested in those suitcases, and yet for her to use one in such an atrocious manner was the biggest betrayal of them all.

Rhoda later learned on the news of the frightening underground crime ring and Cammy’s surprising involvement. She will never fully understand what drove Cammy to commit cold-blooded murder but hopes she will repent and learn from her mistakes.

[Other:]
Miles Edgeworth: Ever since their fateful encounter last month thousands of feet in the air, Rhoda has taken a liking to the stern prosecutor who saw through all her bluffs. She felt guilty for accusing him of murder, so to make up for it she lied about getting permission from the Captain to let him investigate the crime scene and prove his innocence. He seemed genuinely grateful for her little white lie and this made her very happy. As a flight attendant she often feels under-appreciated, and it was nice to be properly thanked for a change.

Edgeworth is also the first person to ever tell her to her face without sparing her feelings that her suitcase design is downright hideous. Upon reflection, she’s come to appreciate his honest opinion no matter how much it shocked her at the time. She does not have a clue how the man feels about her, but she would definitely like to get to know him better if given the chance. Her heart flutters at the mere thought of Mr. Edgeworth using one of her prized suitcases as a faithful companion on his many business trips.

Soon after the incident, Rhoda was issued a subpoena requesting her to appear in court as a witness in the case. However since Cammy pleaded guilty to the crime, it did not fall through. Rhoda was disappointed when she found out because she had secretly looked forward to seeing the handsome prosecutor once again. Rhoda abides her strict policy not to date passengers, but she's willing to bend the rule just a little bit for Mr. Edgeworth.

GENERAL

[Name:] Kristoph Gavin

[Age:] 25, born January 17, 1994. (Capricorn)

[Gender:] Male

[Marital Status:] Single

[Sexuality:] Mostly ignored. Sex - while advantageous under certain circumstances - is a distraction from more worthwhile pursuits and a waste of time to be relegated to those who have no control over their own urges. Under extenuating circumstances, however, dalliances with the fairer or courser sexes may be considered prudent.

[Occupation:] Budding defense attorney.

[Ladder Preference:] Rolling. The detachable one on my bookshelf is both space-efficient and pleasing to look at.

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]

Klavier Gavin - Having been born the oldest son to a successful and busy family, Kristoph was charged with a great deal of Klavier's early upbringing. Having been forced to be nearly a surrogate father to his younger sibling, as well as being expected to excell in his studies and several extra-curricular activities (including lessons in piano and violin), he was forced to mature quickly - both out of a wish to make his strict, disconnected parents proud of him, and out of a need to make sure his younger brother was properly cared for. Because of his studious, quiet nature and the fact that all of his free time went towards Klavier, Kristoph maintained few relationships with other children his age, tending to look down on them as less intelligent or evolved than him. When his parents finally did devorce, he relocated with his father to America where his academic habits got him through his studies quickly and with few difficulties, though he still eschewed personal relationships when they weren't to his advantage out of a wish to waste as little time in school (and thus in need of his father's continuing support) as possible.

Now that Klavier is 'all grown up', he has become something of a failure in Kristoph's eyes, especially considering his newest bent towards rock and roll. Kristoph feels that it's a failing of his, in a way, considering that he wasn't there to dictate Klavier's development in his early teenage years. He considers Klaviers 'rocking' lifestyle disgraceful (especially the sex), but does retain a deep fondness for Klavier, preferring to think of his younger brother as he was as a child.

[Persons of Interest, AKA "Friends":]

Phoenix Wright - Being new blood, Kristoph took it upon himself to introduce himself to the beloved "Turnabout King" of the courtroom, hoping to cement some strong support both in and outside of the courtroom for his blossoming career...along with some inside information with regards to Phoenix's methods of success, since it does always pay to keep the competition's methods in mind. Wright turned out to be willing enough to 'make friends' (something he'd heard of about the man through multiple sources) and has proven to be an acceptable - if sometimes hit and miss - source of information and beneficial references. Following the State v.s. Gramarye case, Kristoph continues to associate with Wright in order to keep his eye on the man, but throughout their relationship he has never done more than suffer the man's company more or less as a neccessary evil. Being able to comfort himself with the smug satisfaction of continuing a hollow friendship with a man who trusts him in perfect ignorance of Kristoph's complete and unapologetic ruination of the only passion of his life is a side-bonus.

Miles Edgeworth - More an acquaintance than an actual friend, Kristoph decided to keep an eye out for Edgeworth because of Wright's fondness for talking about the man and their many misadventures together. Kristoph admires his diligence and professionalism, but can't understand why he would ever want to be closely associated with the bumbling lout that is Detective Dick Gumshoe. Kristoph would like to sit down and have a proper conversation with Edgeworth, but has been unable to pin the man down because of his decidedly unprofessional - and regrettably Phoenix-esque - knack for getting tied up in rather unfortunate happenings.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Daryan Crescend
[Age:] 17
[Gender:] Male
[Marital Status:] Single
[Sexuality:] Straight
[Occupation:] High-School Student
[Ladder Preference:] WHO CARES. NOT DARYAN.

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]
Father – Daryan has a strained relationship with both his parents, but seems to get along better with his dad... which isn't saying much. His dad seems to be a bit distant from him, always working or out doing something. Daryan doesn't really care too much, but feels like his dad ignores him a lot.

Mother – Daryan thinks she nags too much, and is generally not on very good terms with her. She wasn't all that supportive in his goals to work with the police, mostly listing her financial concerns and all the complications that went into schooling, so on and so forth. Basically, he is dying to move out just to get away from her.

[Friends:]
What? Friends? What are those again?

[Enemies:]
He doesn't have any specific enemies at this time, but he doesn't get along with most people. He usually ends up being the bad guy, in most cases.

[Other:]
He's not exactly a social butterfly, so nothing under here, either.

Trucy Enigmar/Wright Application 2/?

CONNECTIONS
[Family:] Zak Gramarye/Engimar Her father. Zak is a father in name only. Although he does genuinely love Trucy, he doesn’t know how to properly care for her, and frankly he sees her as occasionally getting in the way of furthering his career. Ostensibly he tries to be the caring, doting father, but Trucy sees through his act pretty easily. Because of this, Trucy does everything she can to get his real attention. For example, although genuinely a fan of magic, she practices extra hard in hopes of getting praised. Whenever her dad plays poker, she tries to help with her unusual ability, although usually he only winds up getting annoyed with her for “getting in the way.”
Thalassa Gramarye Her mother. Most of what she remembers about Thalassa is what she sees in tapes of Troupe Gramarye performances and what other people tell her about her, which is surprisingly little, as talking about Thalassa is to remember the terrible accident that took her from them. She does, however, vaguely remember the incident in which her mother disappeared; she was inconsolable for nearly a week. In fact, the only reason she stopped was because she wanted to make her dad and grandfather. Her picture is situated in the family room, and sometimes she’ll talk to the picture if her father’s away and pretend she’s still around. And sometimes, as she falls asleep at night, she can hear a soft, soothing voice talking to her and cradling her...a subconscious memory of her mother that still lingers.
Magnifi Gramarye Her grandfather. Ever since her mother’s disappearance/apparent death, he’s been distant with Trucy. When Thalassa was around, he was always the doting grandfather, but seeing Trucy after the accident only reminded Magnifi of what he lost, and tried to avoid her as much as possible. Currently, Trucy no longer remembers the doting grandfather, and really only knows Magnifi as her father’s mentor and teacher. She knows that they’re related, but to her it doesn’t feel that way. It doesn’t bother her, however, because this is what she’s grown up knowing, and to her this is normal.
Phoenix Wright Her soon-to-be father. Although she doesn’t know him yet, she’ll soon be relying on him for almost everything. She realizes that by saving her real father she’s hurt him, and secretly harbors a bit of guilt that “because of her” he got disbarred. However, she also sees in him the father she’s never had, everything that Zak wasn’t Phoenix tries to be. She’s not sure exactly why he’s so nice to her, considering everything she’s done to him, but because he knows how to make her happy she decides that she’s going to do everything she can to make him happy too.

[Friends:]
Valant Gramarye Valant is Zak’s partner in Troupe Gramarye, and Trucy affectionately calls him “Uncle Valant.” Trucy genuinely likes Valant, especially because out of everyone in her life as of now, he’s the one who outwardly treats her the kindest. He’s often the one to convince Zak to take Trucy along with them to practices and performances, and occasionally gives up some of his time to teach her the basics and improve upon the skills she’s already learned. He’s even given her a fair share of books and magazines on magic to help her hone her skills. At the same time, she’s a little weary of him; because of her gift she’s aware that his kindness isn’t entirely genuine. But to Trucy, kindness is kindness, and she’ll take any sort of kindness she can get, fake or not.

[Which of the games have you played?] all of them! ♥

[How much RP-ing have you done?] I've done sporadic, low-key RP-ing over the years.

[Age] old enough to play, I promise.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Kay Faraday

[Age:] 17

[Gender:] Female

[Marital Status:] Single

[Sexuality:] Heterosexual

[Occupation:] The second Great Thief Yatagarasu is her (other) name, and stealing the truth is her game! What else would she be?

[Ladder Preference:] She doesn't like judging ladders, to be honest. A regular ladder and a stepladder both have the same purpose, so what does it matter if they're designed differently?

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]

Byrne Faraday was Kay's father and continues to be her greatest role model, guiding her in everything she does (even in death). No offense to Mr. Edgeworth or Ms. von Karma, but she considers her father to be the greatest prosecutor she's ever seen; he worked for the truth no matter the cost, fought through thick and thin in the courtroom, and always remained true to himself and his beliefs. Having a super-cool piece of technology at his disposal and being a part of the original Yatagarasu was just a bonus.

Tyrell Badd is the closest thing Kay's ever had to an uncle, and holds him just as dearly to her heart as she does her father. Another part of the trinity that was the Yatagarasu, he was the one who allowed Kay to realize her true potential and follow in her father's footsteps. He always has a story of triumph or two up his sleeve, and Kay always jumps at the chance for some daily storytelling! His passion for the truth inspires hers, and they both have the collective motto of "never give up".

Her mother is the only other family she really has, living outside of California. Kay loves her mom, she really does, but her dreams require the excitement that only a busy, bustling place like Los Angeles can provide! She's expressed her desire to find the truth that her father fell short of, and her mother supports her (as long as she visits once in a while, of course).

[Friends:]

Kay first met Dick Gumshoe when she was but nine years old at the courthouse's vending machine, watching as his eyes drooping with sadness towards the sign describing the $6 swiss rolls then on sale. He seemed like a simple man, a man who wanted nothing more than some chocolatey goodness to brighten his day, and how could Kay not help someone in need? It was what her father did every day, and she wanted to be as noble as him when she grew up! So as she shared her dollar with the detective, they bonded and became fast friends; Kay thought he was really nice, and liked that he could keep secrets with her and valued her opinon of him. The fact that dear old "Gummy" is virtually the same way seven years later allowed them to get right back to their friendship, and it's still going strong!

Miles Edgeworth, however, did not give her such a kind first impression. Sure, he gave her change for a dollar, but the really old guy he was hanging around back then said bad things about her father, and Edgeworth was mean to her new best friend later, too! So she gave him a good ol' kick to the shin to teach him a lesson! Once she got to spend time with him, though, she realized that he was a good person who wanted to find the truth, just like her father did. He acted kind of like a stuck-up jerk, but he was a nice stuck-up jerk in pursuit of justice. Mr. Edgeworth hasn't changed much, but Kay's glad that he's become at least a bit more friendly and social (and that he's toned that flashy suit down).
x_kurisuchinu_x at 2010-03-20 21:46 (UTC) (PermaLink)

Kay app, taking flight! (2/3)

[Enemies:]

Anyone who disrespects truth and justice are her enemies, but the woman who towers over the rest in that respect has to be Calisto Yew. Despite being the third member of the Yatagarasu, Yew wasn't acting in the noble pursuit that Kay's father and Detective Badd were; she was pulling the wool over everyone's eyes, taking it upon herself to decieve everyone she knew for little more than personal amusement. Kay hates people like that Yew reminds of her the criminals that her father would work so hard to get put in jail, and thus, she made it her duty to get that horrile woman as far away from society as possible, no matter the cost! (It didn't help that her constant laughter was really annoying, either.)

[Other:]

Franziska von Karma was hanging around with Edgeworth seven years ago, and acted very kindly towards Kay. She didn't like that Franziska acted rudely to Gumshoe, but the fact that she whipped Edgeworth a lot (making him yell and sound really funny) made up for it. She doesn't see Ms. von Karma very often anymore, but they're still on good terms, even if Franziska frequently takes the opportunity to call her a "foolish fool who foolishly wants to pursue the foolish, foolhardy profession of a thieving fool" (or something like that. Kay can't really remember).

It'd be a stretch for Kay to call Shi-Long Lang a friend, since he gave her and Mr. Edgeworth equal amounts of grief during investigations, but she doesn't hate the guy. He's very respectful, cares about his coworkers, and does what he does because he wants his family to be all right again - that's a personality trait that Kay has to admire.

CHARACTER

[General personality:] Kay's sweet and very excitable, just like the average teenage girl; more importantly, though, she always takes the opportunity to remind everyone who she really is - the Great Thief Yatagarasu! She prides herself on her developing modern-day Robin Hooding skills, and always takes up the opportunity to put them to use and enhance them (even if that involves sneaking onto Mr. Edgeworth's crime scenes or sneaking up behind Gummy and expertly swiping his ramen).

[Appearance:] Kay's dressed like she has in canon since she turned thirteen, when she found her younger (9/10 year-old) outfit too "immature for a Great Thief-in training like me".

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Apollo Justice

[Age:] 15

[Gender:] Male

[Marital Status:] As single as he can be

[Sexuality:] As straight as his antennas

[Occupation:] Student

[Ladder Preference:] ( The most important thing from ladders is their essence for being ladders 8| )

CHARACTER
[General personality:]
Apollo has been uptight ever since he was little. He easily gets nervous around strangers, yet he always convinces the others -particularly himself- that he feels otherwise. When he's tense, he stutters, and his voice will be all strained and squeaky. (W-what are you saying? I'm super fine!)

He's probably not the crème de la crème in his class, but he's very diligent and hardworking. He's very punctual; he wakes up very early in the morning to make his own lunchbox and carefully gel his hair. Apollo is also obedient with school rules. He never comes late to the class nor skips the lessons, and he always turns his assignments on time. He has a quite formidable logic and analytical thinking. However, because he panics easily, people don't often realize this. Once his nervousness evaporates, though, he's a pretty cool guy to hang out with.

It's just difficult for him to say 'no' to his friends; as the result, it only takes a bluff to make him cooperate. People would mistake his kindness as his weak-trait--people's view on him that he disapproves greatly but always fails to correct. Although he is indeed awkward with people, it doesn't mean that he lacks the ability to socialize. In fact, his greatest strength is his ability to 'perceive' people. He is keen and can pick up people's change in mood almost immediately. That's why Apollo knows best to hold his tongue and refrain himself from sharing his personal opinions too much with his friends.

[Appearance:]
Apollo and his favorite shirt, (blue-badger print)

He loves to wear T-Shirts, and perhaps a hoodie like this. He does wear his bracelet in every occassion, though.

Apollo 2/4

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]
Thalassa Gramarye - Apollo's mother who was married to some unknown performer. But Apollo never knows about her whereabouts, in fact, he doesn't even know that he has a mother. Thalassa left Apollo when he was just one year old; soon after her husband was killed on stage. The fact tore her up really bad, and as she felt that she couldn't handle the truth, she left Apollo at the orphanage, giving him one of her bracelets to remember her by.

Apollo wonders about her from time to time. When he does, he always closes his eyes and rubs on his bracelet, trying to remember what she looks like. He barely recalls anything about his mother, but he believes that his mother is a gentle and caring person.

Trucy Enigmar - Apollo's half-sister. She's born from the second marriage of Thalassa with Zak Gramarye/Shadi Enigmar. Again, Apollo doesn't have a clue about her. But as soon as he meets her, he feels strangely attached to the little girl.

[Friends:]

[Other:]
Phoenix Wright - Phoenix's always been Apollo's role model ever since Apollo learned about his feat in winning case after case. Apollo 'discovered' Phoenix accidentally; he chanced upon the news about Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth accused as a murderer. He was very surprised to learn that the defense won the case, as it's known that all evidence pointed to the prosecutor. Ever since, he always follows the spiky attorney's cases from TV and newspapers. Perhaps Phoenix is one of the reasons why he wants to become a defense attorney.

Blue badger - He secretly likes this police department mascot as it reminds him of law enforcement itself.

[Background:]
Apollo spent his first few years in an orphanage, before an old couple Justice adopted and took him in. Living with old people, little Apollo was taught to respect and abide the law; be it big or small. He grows to be an obedient boy, who throws litter away to a trash-bin and detests any kind of pokemon card-stealing. He loves his step-parents very much, but little Apollo was also aware that they're not his real parents. Thus he never pestered the Justice couple with questions about them; he didn't want to hurt their feelings.

Curious Apollo was still curious, though. That's why he dreamed to be a part of law enforcement ever since he was little. At 10 he wanted to be a cop so that he could find a trace about his parents. Unfortunately young Apollo inherits no brawn; he's short and scrawny, and got bullied a lot for having an exceptionally loud voice and an exceptionally large forehead. Fortunately, he's one of the smart kids in the joint. He was often asked to do his friends' homework and to provide answers whenever they have tests/quizzes in the class. However, he despises cheating in any kind, so he turned down his friends' request with trembles and stutters (and got rewarded by a punch or two).

Just when about he's 12, he changed his mind and decided to be an attorney. Suffice to say, that he 'fell in love' with justice when he found out that Phoenix Wright won a most impossible case (in which Edgeworth was accused as the murderer; (Turnabout Goodbyes)). Apollo kept himself updated with Phoenix's cases (he's the talk in town after all); he saved clippings of each newspapers article and put them chronologically in a large binder. When the boys of his age are talking about girls and/or Steel Samurai, Apollo gets himself busied with his study and law-related cases. He finally turned his attention to the cartoon superhero when Engarde was killed (Farewell, My Turnabout), and again, was extremely impressed with the easy-going joe. Engarde's case makes him all the more determined to be a defense attorney, though as for now, he just needs to be patient and lives his life as a first-year in high school.

I don't have a Maya icon. FOR SHAME

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Maya Fey

[Age:] 19 going on 20!!

[Gender:] Female

[Marital Status:] SO single!

[Sexuality:] Straight, but not looking

[Occupation:] Master-in-Training of the Fey Family Main Branch

[Ladder Preference:] ummmmm... Ladder?

CONNECTIONS

[Family:] Mia Fey: Maya's big sister who raised her when she was small and maybe spoiled her a little. She's now deceased. Mia was always a great inspiration to Maya, because she defied what was expected of her and went and did some great things. That's part of the reason Maya started to help Phoenix out. It's also a little bit of the reason she feels so constrained by the expectations people have of her now that she's the Master. Maya doesn't expect to see her sister much anymore, not half because she can't seem to make it down to the city to help Phoenix out with cases anymore! And also because she's usually the one who has to channel her. She's been known to write an exchange diary with her sister when she's going through a tough time, but she hasn't done that lately because she knows she's got to make it on her own.

Morgan Fey: Morgan was Maya's aunt who behaved in loco parentis to her, though pretty much strictly legally. Morgan was never much of a mother to Maya when she was young, but she was always scrupulously proper and polite to her when she became the next in line to be the Master. She did love her aunt, in the way you love and show respect to a family member who takes care of you, but by and large her aunt was never very loving to her. When Pearl was born, Maya stopped seeing much of Morgan. She had no idea of her aunt's evil plans until case 2-2 happened and Morgan was imprisoned. Even then, she couldn't bring herself to hate Morgan. She mostly just feels sorry for her.

Pearl Fey: Pearly is practically Maya's favorite person in the whole wide world. She's so cute and tiny and innocent that all Maya wants to do is spend time with her and make her happy. She puts up a brave front to save Pearl's feelings pretty often, and likes to spend time doing fun things with her. Pearl is a better channeler than Maya even at her age, but Maya was only ever proud and never jealous. She likes to share the exciting parts of the wider world with Pearl and hopes that Pearl will grow up to be as comfortable in the city as she is one day.

Misty Fey: Her estranged and now deceased mother. Maya expected to hear from her mother again someday, but not without knowing who she was! She's still conflicted and sad about how her mother died, but she keeps up a strong facade for Pearly's sake. She's reminded of her mother pretty often now that she's learning the Master's duties.

Iris: Maya didn't know that Iris was her cousin when they met, but she's glad to have her in the family now that she knows! She's very nice and accomodating and Maya plans to visit her as often as she can for training and to get away from Kurain.

[Friends:]Phoenix Wright: Nick is pretty hopeless without Maya, at least that's what she thinks. Granted, in some ways the two of them are peas in a pod: She doesn't cook and neither does he, she's broke and usually so is he, she's a total spaz and so is he... They've been through a lot together, and even though they don't always see eye to eye, (for one he's a lot taller than her) she loves him like family. She's never had an older brother or even a clear conception of what having one would be like, (what with the lack of men in her home community) but that's about the size of the feelings she has for him. He's pretty much her best guy friend and even though things were (and are!) totally crazy when they were working together, she wouldn't have missed it for the world. Even though she got accused of murder, kidnapped by a killer and attacked by evil ghosts.

Dick Gumshoe: Maya thinks Gumshoe's a pretty great guy, even if he seemed kind of mean at first. He's nice to her and her cousin, which is a pretty good indicator for her that he's a good guy. She feels bad for him that he's so broke all the time which is kind of hypocritical considering that she doesn't make any money and just mooches off Phoenix all the time. Maybe Gumshoe needs a Phoenix to mooch off of?

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Daryan Crescend

[Age:] 17

[Gender:] One-hundred-percent All American Grade A man.

[Marital Status:] Single. I don't like being tied down.

[Sexuality:] Hetero thanks. And don't you @&%*%$ say anything different!

[Occupation:] High school student/musician. Has managed to get in with the house bands in a few local bars.

[Ladder Preference:] Who the *&%$ cares? If you can climb it, it works.

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]

Daryan's father is a retired motorcycle cop who still rides on occasion. He was honorably discharged after taking a near-fatal shot in the line of duty, and has resented his forced retirement ever since. In the first few years of his retirement he traveled around aimlessly, living the irresponsable life he hadn't been able to get away with under the eye of Daryan's war veteran Grandfather (and then his mostly responsable career as an officer of the law) and his drunk revelry finally landed him in Hawaii, where he just so happened to hook up with a nice little Hawaiian girl for a night and...well...turns out her Father had a bit of clout himself. Daryan's mother and father were married in a hurry, and little Daryan was born eight months later near the sunny shores of Honolulu. He spent nine years of his life growing up with the sun and the sand and the surf, learning Hawaiian folklore from his mother and her family and picking up a healthy fascination for the sharks that prowled the coral reefs until his Father decided that it would be better for him to get a real education back on the mainland (to keep him from turning into some kind of hippie surfer punk) and re-located the whole family back to L.A. Now that Daryan's seventeen his mother and father have moved back to Honolulu with his little sister, leaving Daryan has in L.A. to persue his dream career of becoming a Police Officer/famous musician.

[Friends:] When he meets them, it'll be dynamite.

Klavier Gavin - Once he meets Klavier, Daryan will immediately think that the blond German rocker/prosecutor is way full of himself and seriously needs to be taken down a peg. Klavier's Prima-Donna attitude and German accent just piss him off on a fundamental level, but even Daryan has to admit the guy can pull off a good pickup with those hoity-toity guitars he likes to polish so much. Daryan will eventually warm up to the blond because of his genuine goodness and even take on a somewhat protective role in his life because of his weird naivety when it comes to some of the seedier aspects of life, but most of all he'll hang around because Klavier's willing to get down and dirty about what he's passionate about - Law and Music - which Daryan respects...even if he's only willing to admit it to himself.

Franziska von Karma - The first time he sees Franziska, his first thought is that there must be something fundamentally wrong with the chicks that get involved in the law. He'd rather steer clear of her if at all possible, but he's pretty damn sure his imitation-sharkskin jacket will be more than enough to turn her bullwhip aside. He's used to swimming with the sharks, though, so he knows from experience that you keep your eyes on the predators that roam the seabed...and Franziska's definitely one of them.

Miles Edgeworth - Once Daryan actually gets to see the workings of the Prosecutor's Offices, and manages to get a glimpse of Miles Edgeworth, he'll be a little baffled. Of course, once he's a part of the Precinct, he'll get all of the pay-cut horror stories that go hand-in-hand with anyone who's ever worked with Edgeworth, but first impressions stick and Daryan's first impression of the silver-haired prosecutor is that he's pink and frilly. As he gets to know more about Edeworth, though, and becomes a bigger part of the legal community, he'll come to respect Edgeworth as one of the best prosecutors in the country...and even come to wish that Klavier would act like him a little more often.

GENERAL

[Name:] Kristoph Gavin

[Age:] 25, born January 17, 1994. (Capricorn)

[Gender:] Male

[Marital Status:] Single. Who has time for dalliances?

[Sexuality:] Homosexual. Because of his family's traditionalism (something that he was exposed to alone, before Klavier's birth), he does his best not to act on it, and preferrs to devote his attention to his work.

[Occupation:] An up-and-coming Defense Attorney, already garnering the reputation as the 'coolest defense in the west'.

[Ladder Preference:] If it has rungs, it's a ladder. If it has steps it's a step-ladder. Why that has to be such a complicated concept is something that Kristoph will never understand.

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]

Klavier Gavin - Kristoph's beloved little brother. Klavier was the angel of Kristoph's adolescence, the focus of all of his attention and the reason for his happiness. After their Father's death (to be discussed in greater detail in the Background section), Kristoph and Klavier stayed in Munich for long enough for Kristoph to finish getting his law degree and get some experience working for a German law firm, and when Klavier started touring with his new band, Kristoph decided to move to America to settle in and have somewhere for them both to stay when Klavier finally came to America to practice his Law. Kristoph had never expected Klavier's musical career to take off quite as fantastically as it ended up doing, but he's been keeping his eye on it through various channels, and while he's not exactly a fan of rock music himself, he can appreciate Klavier's talent...even if he's a little unhappy with all of the rabid fangirls trying to get to his younger brother. Kristoph had a tendancy to spoil Klavier when he was a child, and the tendancy has carried over in a sense, but as they've gotten older he's done his best to tone it down a little.

[Friends:]

Phoenix Wright - He considers Phoenix a definite person of interest, admiring the man's career but more than a little puzzled by his demeanor. Phoenix's easygoing willingness to take people at face value baffles him, sometimes, but Kristoph can appreciate the slightly older man's experience. Phoenix is also a very good sounding board for the proverbial lay of the legal land, and considering their connections in the State v.s. Gramarye trial, he's a valuable asset.

Miles Edgeworth - Kristoph's never actually met Edgeworth, though he's heard a lot about the man. He admires Edgeworth's professionalism, and his classical fashion sense, but since he's never gone up against the man in court, doesn't think too much about him as much more than a hopefully positive role model for Klavier.

Franziska von Karma - Kristoph knows her more by reputation than anything else, especially since he started his legal career in Germany. The von Karma family are still huge back home, so he knows about her history and connections, but not much else. He has heard a few stories from Phoenix in the form of reminiscences, so he knows about Franziska's penchant for whipping. He can't help but see her as a young lady, though, and he figures that if her grudge is against 'fools' he has nothing to worry about.

[Enemies:]

Zak Gramarye After the State v.s. Gramarye trial - While Kristoph thought the man had made a smart decision in choosing him as a representative, losing the case to a poker game was one of the most inane things he'd ever heard in his life, and it just proved that Gramarye was an idiot when he abandoned his daughter in the courthouse. If the idiot had just let Kristoph represent him properly, none of the idiocy that had occurred as a result would ever have needed to happen.

DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED AAI OH GOD [2/?]

CONNECTIONS
"Calisto," as she likes to be referred to as now, has no family, friends, or even any real enemies. Everyone is a joke to her. She isn't emotionally bound to anyone, and even those who act as her foil provide her with great amusement, so how can she hate them?

Alba Quercus: Alba acted as her boss for 10 years at the very least. Though she followed all his orders to a T, she didn't do it out of respect or fear. She did it 'cause he provided her with some great jobs. Had she been given the opportunity to join an even more powerful organization that satisfied her needs, she would have betrayed him in a heartbeat. He's an idiot for letting himself get caught, and since she has no ties to him now, she'll gladly tell him how big of an idiot he is.

Shi-Long Lang: Worked alongside him as an Interpol agent; became his assistant as Shih-na. A big, strong, kind-hearted man whose biggest fault is his blind faith in his subordinates. She enjoyed her time with him -- enjoyed stabbing him in the back as he continued to entrust all sorts of confidential Interpol information with her. His charisma and skills are impressive, for sure, but he needs to do away with his stupid attachment to such outdated philosophies, and his dedication to his country is laughable.

Miles Edgeworth: The one who put an end to both "Calisto Yew" and "Shih-na". The way he talks, dresses, and takes things so seriously is a great source of amusement to her. She'll admit she lost the game, but that doesn't matter -- she thrill she gained from both experiences is something she'll never forget. She derives great pleasure from teasing him, and will often do so just to see that funny look on his face. She hopes they will meet again one day so she can tease him some more. They have a lot to catch up on, after all; so many fascinating things happened to him between the second KG-8 incident and her capture! Hopefully he'll continue to entertain her; prison is a bore.

She never intended to shoot to kill that day; she just wanted to create a panic so she could escape. She hopes he doesn't hold it against her!

Dick Gumshoe: Dumb as a brick. He can't even tell when she's insulting him. What a perfect subordinate for Miles Edgeworth.

Kay Faraday: The Yatagarasu's pesky "successor" who thinks she has what it takes to become a Great Thief. Though she'll never admit it even to herself, Calisto had scruples about taking a little girl's father away from her. She's impressed by Kay's tenacity and that she had the foresight to preserve that accursed perfume bottle after all these years, but that's all the praise Kay will ever get. She doesn't think Kay will ever achieve her foolish goals.

Byrne Faraday: Worked with him as the Yatagarasu. It's a shame he had to die -- she had nothing personal against him. Orders are orders. She made sure he at least died a quick and painless death. See background info for more details.

Tyrell Badd: Worked with him as the Yatagarasu. Guilt tripping him after he failed to protect her "sister" was great fun. She could even slap him whenever she wanted! Despite his cool demeanor, she could see in his eyes how much it hurt whenever she rubbed his failure in his face and she loved it. Now that they're in prison together, she'll bring up how he couldn't protect Faraday either. It's going to be a blast.

About some dorky kid 2/?

CONNECTIONS

[Family:] Being raised by his adoptive parents as an only child, Apollo had a pretty sweet upbringing. The kid never went wanting for much (within reason), and so some might consider his lively attitude a bit naive at times. His parents encourage his passion for law studies, proud that their child has found a niche so early on in life. They DON'T appreciate his "Chords of Steel" training in the wee hours of the morning, though.

Despite having been adopted so young, his parents did not hide, or lie about his biological relations. As far as he is concerned, his mother and father are just that. Their honesty in the matter though intensified his passion for the ideals of "truth".

Because of a lack of any actual sibling interaction though, it may account for Apollo's eagerness to get involved with mentor/big brother types.

[Friends:] Apollo gets along fairly well with his peers at school, regardless of his aversion to loud music or the party scene. Or his high-horse attitude about upholding the law. Or... his hairstyle that seriously takes forever to style in the morning so don't touch it ugh.

In reality, Apollo is considered kind of a dorky kid. Thanks to his... passionate outbursts at times, he can be the butt of some ridicule. But all in all, he is far from bullied or -too- far strayed from the general social norm.

Ema Skye: When he meets her, Apollo will think she's a super cute girl. When he sees her more temperamental side, he'll -still- think she's a super cute girl, just one that may not totally be in his league (never mind the age gap).

He'll appreciate her genuine passion for her own chosen field though, especially as it is linked more or less with his own.

Trucy Gramarye (Wright): Being an only child, Apollo won't quite know how to interact with the girl. Sure, he'll think she's a neat kid and all what with the magic (something he's not interested in) but that'll be about that.

But then, holy cow she's Phoenix Wright's daughter? That kind of changes things. What a super lucky kid.

[Name:] Lauren Paups

[Age:] 19

[Occupation:] Unemployed (convict), previously a maid at the Amano estate.

[Ladder Preference:] No thank you. Once fell off one…

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]
Colin Devorae – Lauren’s deceased father. As a devoted steward of the Amano family he spent a lot of his time flying from country to country, handling Ernest’s affairs, and Lauren saw very little of him. Because of the long distance Colin sent Lauren many souvenirs from the different countries he traveled to, mostly very girly things (since he didn’t spend enough time with her to actually know what her interests were). For much of her childhood Lauren believed that he was actually flying around the world on Pegasus and visiting magical, far off lands.

When Lauren was 9, Colin was convicted of several felony charges and sent to prison. All her mother told her, however, was that he flew away on Pegasus and never came back. As she grew up she realized that couldn’t be true, but she was afraid of knowing the truth, and so never attempted to investigate or ask her mother.

A few weeks ago Lauren met the Amano family’s new butler/tutor, Oliver Deacon. He seemed to take a liking to her immediately, and she respected him as a senior member of the staff, never suspecting that he was actually her father. When she found out the truth she was devastated, and still has many questions as to his motives for being a criminal, and also why he returned. With him now dead, she’s going to have to figure those things out on her own.

Sophie “Sodie” Paups – Lauren’s mother, who also worked in the Amano household, but is now searching for a new job. A timid, mousy woman who has spent most of her life in the home service industry. She and Lauren are on very good terms, though Sophie has a tendency to sugar-coat the truth for her daughter a lot.

[Friends:]
Miles Edgeworth – It was Edgeworth that cleared Lauren’s name in the latest case, and she is incredibly grateful to him for that. More importantly, he is handsome, refined, intelligent—a perfect gentleman. She even appreciates his old fashioned fashion sense. Thinking about him makes her heart go all a-flutter! Even if he is too old for her.

Kay Faraday – Lauren’s not used to being around many girls her age, but even so Kay struck her as being rather strange. She also had a very odd sort of sympathy for someone who was just accused of murdering her own father! Still, Kay did help her a great deal. She’s indebted, and would be happy to get to know her better.

Dick Gumshoe – Another stranger who came to her defense, for what reason she’s not sure. He seems nice enough, but he’s not handsome enough to hold Lauren’s attention.

[Enemies:]

Lance Amano – Not an enemy, really, but she is upset that he framed her for murder, so in Enemies he stays. With both her parents working for the Amano’s Lauren practically grew up in the household as well, and has known Lance all her life. They played together as kids, but once they got in their teen years Lauren developed feelings for him. In her mind it was the budding of a life-long romance, but Lance was never interested. When he suggested the kidnapping plan she knew it was wrong, but was willing to play along to help him. The thought of running away with him, living as outlaws, depending only on each other...! So romantic!

Now that Lance is in prison she’s still not entirely sure what to think of it all. She wants to believe that Lance and her father really did just have a misunderstanding, and the death was an accident, and the framing…well, Lance was desperate and trying to protect himself. Maybe it wasn’t personal…? (She might have even sacrificed herself for him willingly, had he actually asked her to). Still, she’ll probably avoid him until she can figure it all out.

Ernest Amano – Lauren grew up hearing about Mr. Amano, even if she saw him even more rarely than her father. Still, he was the master of the estate, and as such she “absorbed” a feeling of respect towards him. Until recently she thought he was nothing more than a kindly, hard-working father. Now, it’s easier for her to blame him for her father’s life of crime than Oliver himself, so that’s what she does.

OH SNAP TOP OF PAGE 2

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

GENERAL

[Name:] Kristoph Gavin

[Age:] 27

[Gender:] Male

[Marital Status:]Single

[Sexuality:]Politely uninterested. Sex in general and relationships in particular add too many unnecessary complications. Besides that, his pleasures come from elsewhere.

[Occupation:]Defense Attorney

[Ladder Preference:]I'm not quite sure what you mean?

CONNECTIONS

[Family:]Klavier Gavin: Kristoph and his younger brother haven't had a whole lot of personal contact since their youth together. When he was born, Kristoph considered his brother to be something of a bothersome addition, as he strongly disliked other children. When his parents' relationship soured and they began to use him and his brother as tools to try to damage one another, he attempted to remain neutral. His matter-of-fact behavior was sometimes good enough to defuse an argument, and he often used his brother as a bargaining chip, a la "Are you going to keep arguing in front of Klavier?" That this stopped the yelling seemed to endear him to his brother somehow.

It was then that he realized he could use his brother as an experiment to figure out how to gain the trust of people he didn't actually care about. Through trial and error, he became Klavier's beloved brother, a figure of legend to the young boy. It was through a combination of subtle insults, poisonous compliments, and the rare crumb of positive feedback that he got to this place, and any intelligent observer would have seen him for the abuser he was. His parents were, fortunately enough for him, too self-absorbed to notice. He feels no love for his brother, or anyone. Anything he does or says to his brother is done for the sake of observing his reaction, which is why in the near future he will attempt to engineer his brother's loss in a case to him.

Father: Though he lived with his father through most of his teenage years, he moved away as soon as he was able to. His father, more of an alpha male than his son ever cared to be, was demanding and never satisfied with his son. His anger was probably something of a reaction to the fact that Kristoph never showed any interest in gaining his approval or any affection for him, and hid the fact that he was beginning to think that there was something seriously wrong with his son. He and his father live on either coast and have very sporadic contact, mostly on holidays.

Mother: His mother loved him desperately as a beautiful baby, but was always thwarted in her attempts to elicit love in him. Perhaps it was from her that he got his preoccupation with control, because control was her drug as well. She tried for many years of his life to get him to love her, but eventually failed and had Klavier. When Kristoph seemed to fall in love with his baby brother, she was dismayed despite herself and this was probably the beginning of her decision to go forward with the divorce and take Klavier away from his brother. They don't speak often, though both of them pretend that they do.

[Friends:] Kristoph has no true friends to speak of, but he keeps up a number of superficial friendly relationships. One in particular has not quite begun yet, but it will become the most important relationship he's ever had in his life.

Marvin Grossberg: The two have a very friendly professional relationship. Grossberg seems not to mind that Kristoph never ventures beyond the superficial, and in fact seems relieved by it. Kristoph often sends him cases that seem to appeal to his sensibilities, but for whatever reason he rarely wins them.

Phoenix Wright: (feigned) Though he is aware of Phoenix Wright and knew he would someday have to meet him, the two of them haven't quite met yet. When they do meet, he will insinuate himself into Phoenix's life very slowly. On the surface, he'll be a good and supportive friend. He'll laugh at Phoenix's jokes, give him any reasonable amount of aid he will take, and generally provide a shoulder to cry on. There's no measure of bitterness or anger in any of his interactions with Phoenix, his mask is nearly flawless. The only noticeable evidence of the reason he befriended Phoenix is a curious shallowness to what seems to be a very deep friendship.
